The other night I had gone to bed and Oakleigh was supposed to be asleep too...well Daniel went to check on her and I heard "what did you do!" Come to find out Oaks took off her jammies and diaper and decided to just pee everywhere even on her beloved blanket! So we had to wash it and she didn't understand why she couldn't have it. It was so sad but the mean mom I am I couldn't help but laugh a little. This is her actually calmer she was super mad! Gotta love her!

Holy crap, we've been married 5 years tomorrow!! I cannot believe how fast it has gone by. We have been through so much and I really love my husband!! I'm so grateful for the beautiful baby we have together! 5 down eternity to go!

I can't believe Oakleigh is 2!!! She is so much fun and talks so much now! We had a princess party for her with close friends and family. Oakleigh was super spoiled and had so much fun!

Well it's been awhile since I've blogged! A lot of new changes! I FINALLY got my cosmetology license! yay! 3 years and I finally did it! I started a new job at Ulta salon in Farmington. I was really scared to leave my job at the hospital, but I'm really enjoying my new job. Plus Ulta has so many fun things! It's a girls heaven!

If everyone remembers I got a new ring back in December, well it's been nothing but trouble! I really loved that ring but I have had 4 diamonds fall out since we got it! It was getting ridiculous! We went in and they sent the ring back to the manufacture and sent me a brand new ring. Well yesterday while driving I noticed TWO more diamonds fell out! Oh I was so mad! We took it back and they were very nice to us and took the ring back and I was able to pick out a brand new different ring. I ended up picking out the ring I almost got the first time we looked. I guess I was just meant to have that ring! It is very pretty and I feel very lucky to have such a gorgeous ring. I am very spoiled! Thanks love!

Oakleigh is getting so big! Daniel and I can't believe how smart she is and how much she is talking! She is very entertaining! We love her so much! We can't believe we will have a 2 year old at the end of the month!!

Daniel is still at his job with Timberline and is trying to figure out what he wants to do for school. He works so hard and spoils Oakleigh and I so much.

Wow, its already July!! This is one of my favorite months! We've been having fun being with family and enjoying time outside. This month is also super exciting because my sister Leigh is here for 2 weeks to visit! I love seeing her and being able to catch up. We are going to Park City this weekend for a girls night! We've been taking advantage of the warm weather and went swimming twice last week. Oakleigh still isn't quite sure what to think of the water. Hopefully she will love it by the end of summer.

Yep I did it!! I can finally say I am graduated and have completed my 2000 hours required to become a cosmetologist! It took a heck of a lot longer than I thought it would take, but I'd say Oakleigh was well worth it! I started April 2008 and Graduated May 13, 2011. I'm so proud of myself and I don't care if that sounds bad. I can finally relax after working 7 days a week for 7 months!

I can't thank my Mom enough for watching Oakleigh everday and Daniel's family and my sisters for helping us when my mom couldn't. My mom is a saint I tell ya! Oaks keeps you so busy, she never stops!

I've been graduated for a week now and I thought I would be happier but it was really bittersweet to gradutate. I made some really good friends and it was really hard last week to not see them. I really do miss it, but love being home with Oakleigh. I can't wait to play all summer and hopefully find a good job by the end of summer! So if anyone knows of any let me know! Thanks to everyone for the support to get school done!

Avalon Hair Show

Last night was my schools hair show, and it was so fun! I am so glad it's over though!! Our themes were movies and my group was the Dark Knight. We had awesome models and dancers. Our Joker was amazing! He looked just like him and was hilarious!

The whole show was great and everyone did awesome!!
So glad to be done!! This week I graduate!! yay!!! So excited to have a life again!

I hope everyone had a good Easter! We had a really nice one. I was able to get work off to got to church as a family. Oakleigh did really well throughout sacrament! We took her to nursery for the first time by herself. She left me immediately to go play with the toys. I was so proud of her, I was more scared than she was...Then halfway through Daniel's lesson I hear a baby crying and sure enough it was our little Oakleigh. She was so scared and was crying so hard. The cute nursery leader said she really tried to comfort her but nothing worked. So we made it through half of church and took her home to nap.

After our nap, we went over to Shelby's house for a yummy ham dinner and played cards. It was a fun Easter and relaxing to be home for a change. I'm so grateful for the atonement and this gospel!

The other night I was in the kitchen and Daniel was yelling "Whit, Whit, Whitney.." To get my attention to go grab him something. Well all of the sudden you hear Oakleigh yelling "whit, whit, momma!" Oh my gosh we about died laughing she is so stinkin funny. I had no idea she even knew how to say my name. It's amazing how much they pick up when you don't think they are paying attention.

On March 29th Oakleigh turned 18 months old!! She is not a baby anymore she is a toddler! Makes me so sad she grew up so fast! She is the funnest little thing and such a blessing to me ours. She is constantly making us laugh and always has us on the run! She is a very active little girl and knows what she wants!

Wow, 25!!! Yep that's how old I turned this year! I can't believe it! I still feel like I'm 19! I must say this birthday was seriously one of the best thanks to my hubby! He really spoiled me and made sure I felt special right up until midnight!

For lunch we went to lunch with my Mom and Katie to Zupas. My momma gave me a new purse! I love it! Thanks mom. Katie brought me the best cupcakes and a really sweet card. :)

After lunch Oakleigh was in a desprite need of a nap so we went home and tried that but it never happened so we went to kohls to walk around.

After we got home, we just waited for Daniel to get home and I heard his car pull up and in walked my cute husband with a dozen roses, an edible boquet and a gift card to DownEast! I was in total shock! He really is the best to me.

For dinner, we went to Lorenas (my fav) which was just suppposed to be his sister and brother but as we were pulling up to the resturant I saw my friends were there. My husband is so sweet! He totally surpised me! I've never had anyone surpise me like that. I loved it!

It was an amazing birthday and thanks to everyone for the calls, facebook messages and texts. I have the best family and friends!

8 years ago today Daniel and I had our first date! The best is that I was the one that asked him out and paid for the date. We went to the spaghetti factory and then to a comedy show. I found out later that he wasn't a fan of spaghetti! oops! We then went to his friend Joshes house and watched the grudge. After that night we were together everyday until he left for his mission a year later.

I'm so glad for meeting Daniel, he has made me a better person! Love you Daniel!

Yesterday both of my clients were no-shows so I decided I'm going to leave early and play with my baby in all of the fresh snow! It was so much fun! She had never played in it before and she was loving it! We (well just me, she watched and played) made a snowman and snow angels. She only played for about 20 minutes before she was done. I really thought she would want to play longer but her attention span is very little! It was a fun memory to make as a family and I'm very glad I played hookie from school.

This is how I felt on Thursday after taking my state practical test for barber/cosmetology. I was beyond nervous and so stressed about taking it!! After 4 long hours of testing, I was given the paper that said I passed! I had always heard that it was a really intense test and they weren't lying! I'm just so glad I had a really good intructor that helped us through every step and made our kits for us. I really don't know if I would have passed if it wasn't for her! Now all I need is 400 more hours and to take my state written test and I will be done!! I never thought this day would be here! YAY!!!

I was a lucky one and got to spend 16 hours of Valentines Day working. Really it isn't bad, I had a romantic date with Oakleigh and Daniel in the cafeteria. We decided not to do any gifts and just have dinner. Plus I told him I don't need anything all year since I got a new wedding ring, I think that's a gift that should last a good year! :)

Wow, its been a while! I have been super busy with school and working and having no days off so I guess I have a good excuse! My life is kind of like groudhogs day, same thing everyday! But it will all be worth it right!? I have about 415 more hours of school left!! That means probably the last week of April I will graduate! I can't believe I am almost done it doesn't seem real. I take my state practical on Thursday and just the thought of it makes me get anxiety! So if anyone knows of a good salon that wants to hire a new graduate let me know!

Oakleigh is just getting bigger and older! She hit a growth spurt last week and now fits in 18-24 month clothes! She was in 12 month clothes for so long that I was not ready for her to grow! Thank goodness for our good friend Breanna for letting us use her little girls old clothes. Plus they are adorable clothes! She is just talking and understanding so much. I am amazed everyday with the things she does/knows. Her lastet obsession is Toy Story! She gets so excited when we put in on and just sits and watches almost the whole movie! She wakes up pointing to the computer saying "buzz". She stole a buzz and woody toy from my moms house and they pretty much have to go everywhere with us now.

She is saying: oh shoot, mom, daddy, papa, woof woof (when she sees a dog), shoe, two (after I say one), bye, hi, no, uh-oh, bo, buzz, woody, and probably a lot more that I can't think of. She is so smart! My mom taught her to fold her arms last week and its so cute to watch her just walk around and fold her arms. She doesn't quite get that we like to do it for prayer and she won't say amen yet but were practicing!

So glad I can still say I see these girls on a regular basis, they are like sisters to me and I don't know what I would do without them! We had a fun year having girls night and hanging out. My favorite was that we went to see the Backstreet Boys in concert! Best night ever!

Being with family is such a blessing. I feel so blessed that we are all so close and love one other!

This little girl grew up way too fast! She is walking/running everwhere, talks non stop and holds a piece of our hearts.

Probably one of my most memorble things was getting my new wedding ring, I'm one lucky girl!

Daniel and I celebrated 4 years of marriage! I can't believe how fast the years have gone by! In March it will be 8 years since we started dating! I love you Daniel!

Daniel sure does spoil me! He got us a more reliable car for the winter months and eventually for more kids.

We played outside a lot during the summer, can't wait to do it again this year!

My Daddy Retired as a police officer, it's all I've ever known him doing so it was sad for me, but he was so excited to start something new.

Weird picture I know, but I started school again. I'm so glad I'm almost done so I can get my butt in a salon and do what I love! Can't thank my mom enough for watching Oakleigh so this can all happen!

Most of all I'm very grateful for this cutie and the joy she brings into our lives and home.

Friday night we took Oakleigh to see Elmo! I think I was more excited than anyone! She LOVED it! As soon as we walked in, she was pointing and saying wow! I think it was a big hit! On Friday night we all got together and Steph made us the Smith's famous Chicken noodles over potatoes for dinner and we carved pumpkins! It was so much fun!
Saturday we went over to Ryan and Jamies and had our annual get together with soups and treats. Oakleigh was the cutest little Ladybug I've ever seen!

After my brothers place we had to run over to Dan's parents ward where they do chili and a trunk or treat. It was a fun day, except for all that rain! Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!

Daniel and I have been thinking for a few months to sell my car and get a more safer car for Oakleigh and I to be in, especially for the winter. Well we put my car up for sale last week and she sold that week! I guess it was meant to be! Her new owner is cute and I trust her with my little accord. I was very sad to see her go, I was almost in tears at the bank when we did the trade off. But I knew we would be getting something with a lower payment and a safer vehicle for us. After endless searching and test drives, we FINALLY found a car we loved! And the best part was we felt totally calm about the purchase! (Big Plus!) So here is our new car!

Isn't she pretty! I had no idea we could find something this nice with our budget! We were defintley blessed that's for sure! It is so weird to drive something so big, but I'm starting to get used to it already! My husband really does spoil me and I am so lucky. This is our anniversary gift to each other since our anniversary is this week. I think it's a pretty dang nice gift!

I'm back in beauty school!! Finally after a 1 1/2 break, which was only supposed to be 6 months..., I have gone back! It's so different, not only did I go back during the day, but it's now owned by different people and a new name! Its now Avalon not Taylor Andrews, it's fun being back. I do miss my baby so much! I have a busy schedule the next 6 months! I work Sunday and Monday at the hospital and then Tues. thru Saturday I'm at school 9-5. Whew, I hope I can do it! This is a little late I know! Oakleigh turned on on Sept. 29th. I seriously don't know where that year went! It flew by. I feel like we waited an eternity for her to come and the first year is already gone by. We have been so blessed to have her sweet spirit in our home and apart of our eternal family. I really feel like I was blessed with an, dare I say, easy first baby. I really hope all our babies are like Oakleigh.

This!! I love that we don't have to buy that stinkin formula anymore! I just went today to get more milk and it was so nice to only spend $2 instead of $20!! We are almost done with bottles, Oakleigh only took maybe half a bottle today and didn't want anything to do with it tonight! I hope weening her off will stay this easy! She's still a little unsure of the new milk, she'll take it if there is cereal to make it thicker.
She's also teething and its not fun when she teeth's! She's throwing up, poopin everywhere oh and super ornery!! But we sure love her!

We went to St. George a few weeks ago and here are a few pics! We had so much just hanging out with family and swimming. Yes, my baby girl is walking! She has been teasing us for a few weeks just with a few steps here and there and standing on her own, but as of Thursday she just started walking everywhere! She is doing so good! She catches herself and gets right back up. She still seems too little to me to be walking! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She is also saying a few words: Hi, Dada, Papa, Mamma, buh bye and Uh-oh. We just love watching her little personality grow, she is such a sweet baby!

Last Wednesday we took Oakleigh (well and Daniel's too) to her first Fair! My Dad came with us and we had so much fun. We ended up spending so much money just on the dang food! Now we now for future visits to eat before! We had heard there was the deep fried twinkies and we all wanted to say we had tried it. Well after about an hour of searching we asked the information and she showed us where it was, yep looks like the place where we got dinner was right across from it! :) Oh well it was fun searching for it and seeing all the things they had at the fair. Oakleigh did really well and really only wanted my Dad. She is a grandpas girl for sure! It was fun making these fun memories with Oakleigh and my Dad!

Look who is getting so big! Oakleigh turned 11 months on the 29th! She is standing by herself! She can stand for so long, we just need to teach her to move those legs with it! Yesterday Daniel and I were set apart with our new callings, if you couldn't tell mine is teaching the cute little sunbeams! I couldn't be more excited, well and a little nervous! I tought the five year olds in our last ward and they were a little crazy some days! :) But I'm so excited to be in primary again!

Daniel was set apart as the gospel doctrine teacher! He will be so great at it! Kinda bummed I won't ever see him teach since I will be in primary, but he will be fantastic!

Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated, sorry! Well Oakleigh just keeps getting bigger and older! She is now 10 months old! She FINALLY got a tooth! Yes, only one though! She was miserable for about a month with fevers, runny nose and congestion. Poor thing! She is getting around and into everything still! She loves to crawl up the stairs and wait for you to chase after her! She is a momma's girl and I love it! (sorry love!) She is also in love with her grandparents and my nephews. She gets so excited to see her cousin Camden and Boston, I think she thinks they are her brothers! She has the funnest personallity! She just makes us laugh all the time. She is just a huge blessing in her our home. I can't express how much we love her.

Today in church while someone was giving their testimony she quoted someone that said when children come into this world, a mother reconnects the relationship they had with their child in heaven. I think that is so true! I feel such a bond with Oakleigh, and I just can't get enough of her!

I had to add this picture, Oakleigh can finally wear a small clip in her hair! I can't wait until her hair is long enough to style! It's killing me not to play with it everyday!

Our litte munchkin is growing up so fast! We had her 9 month well check last week and she is doing great!

She weighs 18.5 lbs and is 29 inches long!

That puts her in the 90th percentile for height and the 50th for weight. She's been consistant! Here are a some of things she is doing and loves so far:

1. crawls everywhere! (and fast!)

2. can crawl up the stairs

3. says momma and dada and no, no, no!

4. Stands up to toys and moves around them

5. can feed herself puffs or anything you put on her tray to eat!

6. finally feeds herself a bottle!

7. still is easy to put to bed

8. no teeth yet, but we are in the process, not very fun!

9. gets very excited when she recongnizes someone she knows!

10. gives kisses

11. talks non stop!

12. loves elmo and the wiggles.

13. LOVES playing with her cousins

14. Loves the swimming pool, but hates the splash park

15. Loves grandma Sandy's dog Bo.

16. very sassy already!

17. picks and chooses when she is a mommas girl or a daddy's girl.

18. has no fear!

19. Loves her sippy with apple juice.

20. gets into everything!

We love having Oakleigh as a part of our family! She has been the biggest blessing and I don't know what we would do with out her. I love being her mom and taking care of her! It is the biggest reward to wake up in the morning and go to her room and see her get excited to see you and reach out for you to get her! It's the best! Love you baby girl, can't believe you are 9 months already!! You've been out of my belly as long as you were in there! Crazy!

Yes, I'm 24 years old and I still love the Backstreet Boys!! Me and my best friends all went last week and we had a blast!! Surpisingly we weren't the oldest fans there! :) We had a blast acting like we were in Jr high again and acting crazy! Boy if our husbands would have seen us! haha Thanks girls for going with me!! I loved seeing AJ, even though is balding super bad! Still love em'!

To have these men in my life! On Father's Day we were able to spend it with 2 of my 3 grandpas! I feels so blessed to have such neat grandfathers. To my wonderful husband who is the best Daddy to Oakleigh! I hope she knows how lucky she is to have him for a Daddy! He is always there to wipe away tears, change diapers (not poopy ones!), feed her yummy treats (she loves ice cream), teach her about sports (oakleigh loves basketball). He is always willing to help me with her and doesn't complain. I feel so blessed to have him for a husband to be the father to our children! Memorial Day

I love Memorial Day! We went to visit Daniel's mom on Saturday and took her some flowers. There is just something peaceful abut visiting her.

Every year we go to the Woods Cross Memorial Day breakfast and 5k. My dad actually ran the whole thing, while Kate, Tim, my mom and I just walked it with the kids. Hey we still got under an hour! Maybe next year I will run it!

Later we had a BBQ at Shelby's. It was so much fun to be outside and it actually be warm! Oakleigh was in heaven being outside. She was kind of unsure of the feel of the grass, but that didn't stop her from playing on it!

Yes, she is another month older and it flew by! She is so active! She is now crawling and getting into EVERYTHING!!! She is so funny and loves to play with the dvds and shoes! She has tons of toys and chooses those first!
Yesterday we were playing and next thing I know she stood up to her toy!!

She wants to crawl up the stairs so bad! I guess its time to get a gate!

Today Jordie and Alex came up with their kiddos and we decided to for a "little" walk to 7-11. Well it ended up taking us 2 hours and it was probably 3 miles long! I had no idea it was that far away, I mean driving there is like 2 minutes! :) The kids loved it and they got a nice nap in too. Us Mommys enjoyed just getting out in the sun! I needed a good walk with my best friends! Thanks girls!

Mother's Day

This is the reason I love being a mom. I don't mind giving up sleep, being sick, not getting dressed for the day, as long as I get to be her mom. I no longer care about myself anymore, its all about this special girl! She is such a blessing in my life and I really don't know what I did before she came to our family. I can't eplain the love I have for her. She makes my day with her smile or her cute little laugh. I didn't know I could love a person in such a short amount of time.

I'm also so grateful for my own mother in my life. She is such a great example to me and I love how she loves her grandchildren and they love her. I sometimes think Oakleigh would rather be with her! She just adores my mom! I can't ever thank my mom enough for her sacrifice to watch Oakleigh for us so she doesn't have to be in a daycare. I'm also grateful to all the other mothers in my life, my sisters, mother-in-law, aunts and my grandmothers. I hope everyone had a great mothers day!

Wow, I can't believe another month has gone by! She is getting too big! She is really wanting to crawl! She gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth! She does really well scooting around to get to what she wants though!! I'm thinking in the next few weeks we will have to baby proof this house! On April 15th it was Dan's moms birthday so we headed down yesterday to take her a rose for her birthday and it was also the first time we had taken Oakleigh to see her. There is such a sweet spirit about going to her grave, I know she must have been there with us. Happy Birthday Jeanne! I know Daniel misses you more and more everyday but we are so lucky to have eternal families and can be together again after this life!

Oakleigh turned 6 months old a couple of days ago! I can't believe she is this big already!! We had to cancel her 6 month wellness checkup due to her ear infection so I don't have her stats yet. I do know she weighs 15.7 lbs just from when we had to go to wee care the other night. Oakleigh is rolling from her back to her belly and sometimes she will go from belly to back. She is putting everything in her mouth! She is able to scoot around the floor and get where she wants to get to. She now says "da da" and Daniel eats it up. She is a very active little girl and is always so happy! I love her smile and her laugh it makes me so happy to watch her grow and develop! She also love to play with her toys now and can even sit up for a little bit befoer tumbling over! I feel so blessed to be her mom and to watch her grow. I love being a mommy! I always tell Daniel I don't know what I did before we had her!

My poor little girl is sick. She's had a cough and runny nose for a week now but on Monday night she felt so warm I checked her temp and it was 102.7. I immediately called wee care and we got her in an hour later. It's another ear infection! This poor kiddo, she is miserable. She can't breathe and the last few nights wakes up every hour from coughing or she can't breathe and I think those poor ears hurt! Oakleigh is never much of a crier but this week she is very ornery and cries so much. I hate seeing her so miserable, I miss my happy baby girl! I can't wait for the antibiotics to kick in so she can start feeling better!
